We had a solid week, finishing 3-2, and we’re feeling confident heading into this weekend’s matchups. While not many games stood out to me, there are three that I’m really excited about. Enjoy the weekend action, Sandman Nation!

Cowboys (-4.5) at Giants

I realize the Giants notched their first win of the season in Cleveland, but their quarterback is still Daniel Jones. I also realize the Cowboys lost another game where they looked lackluster and now their locker room could be in disarray because of finger pointing and lots of blaming to go around. But they still get to play Daniel Jones on Thursday night. The Cowboys offense is still top 10 and could put up points in a hurry. And while their defense has been surprisingly bad, they will be able to contain a pedestrian offense with the Giants. 4 ½ points is a small line here as I believe the Cowboys win by at least a touchdown and get back to .500.

The Pick: Cowboys -4.5

Steelers at Colts (+2)

There’s something about the Colts this season that keeps drawing me in, and I’ve been liking their lines consistently. We hit last week against the Bears, and I’m sticking with them even against an undefeated Steelers team. Mike Tomlin is working his usual magic with a team that’s not overly talented, especially on offense, which ranks 24th in the league. Their defense, however, has been outstanding and ranks first in the NFL. At home, I expect Anthony Richardson to use his legs to keep the Colts moving when needed. While the Steelers have been great at protecting the ball with only 1 turnover all season, if the Colts can pressure Fields into mistakes, they’ll get some short fields to work with. The Steelers just aren’t as good as their record suggests, so I’m taking the Colts as a home underdog.

The Pick: Colts +2

Seahawks at Lions (-4.5)

Most wouldn’t have predicted the Seahawks to be the undefeated team heading into this matchup, but they’ve taken care of business—though against the likes of Bo Nix, Jacoby Brissett, and Skylar Thompson. They haven’t faced an offense of Detroit’s caliber yet, and I think the Lions’ Week 2 loss to Tampa Bay really fired up Dan Campbell and his squad. They bounced back with a determined performance, clearly outplaying the Cardinals in Phoenix. The Lions are solid, ranking in the top 10 in both offensive yards gained and defensive yards allowed. Detroit is a strong team, and the Seahawks aren’t as good as their record suggests. I’m comfortable giving the points at Ford Field, especially with a raucous Monday Night home crowd backing the Lions.

The Pick: Lions -4.5
