Bierman’s Best Bets – NFL Week 13
We took a slight hit last week, going 1-2, but the season overall is still looking solid. Thanksgiving week is always a favorite, especially with the tradition of three NFL games on Turkey Day. So, this week, we’re rolling out a Thanksgiving special – our picks focus exclusively on Thursday’s matchups.
Not only is this a chance to help you cash in while you’re enjoying that turkey leg, but these are three games I genuinely love and would have picked regardless of the schedule. Let’s make it a profitable holiday!
Bears (+10.5) at Lions (*All lines are from DraftKings Sportsbook)
I’m all in on the Lions this year and genuinely believe they’ll take home the Super Bowl trophy. That said, they’re overdue for a nail-biter, and this Thanksgiving showdown against division rival Chicago feels like it could be the one.
The Bears aren’t a great team, but they showed some spark against the Vikings last week and were a few plays away from pulling off a win. Caleb Williams seems to be finding his groove with every game, and I think Chicago has the tools to keep it competitive.
Even with Detroit’s incredible 10-1 ATS record and their dominant #2-rated offense, I see the Bears hanging tough and covering the spread. Let’s gobble up those points!
The Pick: Bears +10.5
Giants at Cowboys (-4)
This one gives me pause because the line feels surprisingly low. Sure, the Cowboys are bad, but the Giants are in absolute freefall. The switch to Tommy DeVito at QB hasn’t helped at all, as they got blown out 30-7 by the Buccaneers last week.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys showed signs of life, with Cooper Rush growing more confident as they pulled off a surprising win over the Commanders in D.C. While I still have concerns about Dallas’ defense, they should handle the Giants easily, and their offense should find plenty of opportunities against New York’s mediocre unit. I’m taking the Cowboys and laying the points.
The Pick: Cowboys -4
Dolphins at Packers (-3)
It’s great to see Tua back in action, and he delivered for us last week with a big win over the Patriots. However, the Packers are having a solid season and are jockeying for playoff positioning in the tight NFC. While Miami’s offense put up points last week, it still feels a bit out of sync to me.
On Thanksgiving night, Lambeau Field will be electric, packed with rowdy fans, and I believe Jordan Love and the Packers’ #5-rated offense will take control. Only giving three points feels like a gift, so we’ll gladly lay the field goal here.
The Pick: Packers -3
